Information processed
The public site creates a random browser identifier in local storage to estimate daily visitors. When a page is viewed, the site receives the identifier, page path and a random event identifier. It stores a daily hashed visitor key and, for article pages, the article identifier and India-calendar date. The identifier is not designed to identify you by name, and the daily hash changes each day. If browser storage is unavailable, a temporary in-page identifier is used.
The site records article page openings, including repeat openings. For configured image advertisements, it may record an impression after the image is sufficiently visible and a click when an ad link is followed. These counts are operational statistics and do not prove that an article was read fully or that an advertisement led to a purchase.
If you sign in as an administrator, the service processes your account email, a password hash and a session token. The administrator session cookie is HTTP-only, SameSite protected and expires after eight hours. Do not send passwords or sensitive personal documents by email or WhatsApp.
Purposes and sharing
Information is used to operate the publication, protect administrator access, understand readership and report configured advertising campaign totals. The site does not use its visitor identifier for behavioural advertising. Database and hosting providers process information to provide the service. Images, social links, YouTube videos (loaded when you choose to play them) and any advertising providers configured later may make requests to their respective services. Those providers have their own privacy practices.
The site does not currently provide a public analytics consent banner or preference centre. The visitor identifier is stored in browser local storage, not in a website cookie. You may clear or restrict browser storage; this can affect visitor counting and administrator sign-in.
Retention and requests
The application does not currently set an automatic deletion period for readership or campaign analytics. Administrator sessions expire after eight hours.
